Elissa Bradley

Elissa Bradley has loved getting lost on the Blueberry Hill trails since discovering them in 2010 while searching for the perfect place to get married. Having found that place at Blueberry Hill Inn, she’s enjoyed coming back to ski, run, sit by the pond, and enjoy the reliable lack of cell service. Elissa lives in Norwich, VT with her husband Joel and her two busy children. Her professional area of expertise is helping businesses track key processes in a database, but these days she’s more often found enticing the kids on an outdoor adventure or trying to fit more plants in her garden.

Britta Clark

Britta Clark grew up at Blueberry Hill exploring the forests, trails, and streams in the area. Decades later, running and biking on the BHOC trails with friends is still her favorite thing to do, and she is passionate about preserving the trails and surrounding ecosystems for years to come. Britta is a Postdoctoral Fellow at Harvard; her research focuses on environmental ethics and the ethics of climate change.

Grace Wright

Grace keeps finding her way back to the Blueberry Hill trails, and is both honored and thrilled to be a BHOC board member! After growing up in nearby Rutland, Vermont, Grace spent several seasons working at the BHI where she came to appreciate the magical recluse and diverse amount of adventure in the trails at Blueberry Hill. Grace lives in Portland, Maine, where she enjoys XC skiing, biking, running, hiking, and picking blueberries with friends.

Chase Rosenberg

Chase came to Vermont as a Long Trail hiker in high school and has kept coming back for the magical balance of nature and culture.  Currently living in Richmond, VT, he found the outdoor center and the Blueberry Hill community through exploring on bike and skis, and has been drawn back by the people and the vision!  Chase has a background in ecology, and currently is teaching Spanish and co-running a small real estate company.  He is also building a nascent bikepacking tour company, Ramble Bikepacking, that was lucky enough to lead a couple of groups down to BHOC for pizza, music, and campouts last summer. He just joined the BHOC board in Winter/Spring of 2023 and is excited to learn, plan, and contribute to the wonderful community and space.

Kyle Mendelson

Kyle, a passionate outdoor enthusiast, is a local of nearby Rutland, VT, where he lives with his wife, and fellow board member, Rachel. He is passionate about making the most of the few wild spaces that remain protected in our modern world, and spends much of his free time trail running, skiing, and cycling the trails and gravel roads of Vermont. Professionally, Kyle leads operations teams focused on revenue growth, efficiency, and strategic planning. He also consults with small local Vermont organizations through his fractional consulting business, Green Mountain Ops.

Kyle loves Blueberry Hill Outdoor Center not only for the incredible land it stewards, but for its role in protecting outdoor traditions and communities in an increasingly online world. He deeply values spaces that bring together like-minded individuals who understand the importance of spending time outside, caring for shared trails, and preserving the wild landscapes that are so central to life in New England.

Rachel Lee Mendelson

Rachel lives in nearby Rutland with her husband, Kyle, and their dogs, Pepper and Bean, where she enthusiastically embraces all the outdoor recreation Vermont has to offer. She enjoys hiking, biking, trail running, and skiing, finding restoration in time spent outside. After first learning about Blueberry Hill Outdoor Center through a podcast (shoutout Happy Vermont), she was drawn to BHOC’s unique blend of serene landscapes and its commitment to land preservation.

A former educator now working in customer success for a publishing company, Rachel is passionate about connecting with others and helping them recognize their own potential. She is especially committed to encouraging women and those new to the outdoors to explore with confidence, seeing BHOC’s open-access trails as an inviting entry point. As a board member, Rachel is excited to help expand this inclusive community, support responsible stewardship of the land, and inspire more people to step outside and play!
