October 2-4, 2026

Britta & Kevin Are Getting Married!

We’re so excited to welcome you all to Vermont in October 2026 to celebrate us getting married!

We’re informally referring to our wedding as Blueberry Hill Fest and it’s sure to feature all of our favorite things: competition, good food, a fall weekend in Vermont, and the best company! More details to come.

If you haven’t already, please complete our Save the Date Survey, below. Please send questions to brittakev@gmail.com

All our love,

Britta & Kevin

Schedule

Pre-Friday

Come early if you’d like. Come adventure, help us prep, and enjoy the beautiful trails, gravel roads, and attractions around the Moosalamoo National Recreation Area.

Friday

We’ll kick the weekend off with dinner and drinks by the pond and possibly a sauna. Cross your fingers for dry weather!

Saturday

The day starts with a 5km race around the storied trail system at Blueberry Hill. We’ll then have some time for games and hangs before ceremony, dinner, and lots of dancing! Exact timing TBA.

Sunday

Nothing formal. We’ll probably opt for a run or ride and some easy breakfast. We’d love to have you join. We also fully support an Irish goodbye whenever you need to head out.

Blueberry Hill Fest FAQs

Logistics: Travel & Lodging

  • Everything will be held at Blueberry Hill Inn and Outdoor Center in Goshen, Vermont, where Britta grew up.

Blueberry Hill is located at 1245 Goshen Ripton Road, Goshen, VT 05733.

  • The closest airport is Burlington, VT (1hr 15min) though we expect flying into Boston will give folks traveling from afar better options.

We will share a carpooling doc if folks are looking to share a rental car from those airports.

Please note that getting to Blueberry Hill involves driving on dirt and gravel roads. Keep the Porsche in the garage at home!

  • We love your kids, but this will be a child-free event, except for nursing infants.

  • We are hoping that many folks will camp on site for the weekend so that we can spend lots of time together. Camping will have outdoor showers, an indoor space to hang, fast wifi, and beautiful views. Here’s a link to our Hipcamp if you want to get a sense, but of course no need to ‘book’.

If the weather is awful, we’re confident we can figure out an indoor space for a big sleepover. If you’re traveling and can’t bring a tent, let us know and we can ask around to find you something.

We also have a hotel block at the Brandon Inn. If you’re planning to book at the Brandon Inn, please book ASAP so that we don’t lose the rooms. You can call (be sure to mention that you’re booking for the Clark & Hoose Wedding), or book online here.

There are also various Airbnbs in Brandon (20 minutes away), Ripton (15-20 minutes away), and Middlebury (30 minutes away).

  • Yes! We are hoping to be there all week, so come camp/hang for as long as you want. There is wifi if you need to work, trails right out the door, and the opportunity to help us prep!

Food, Dress & What to Bring

  • We truly don’t care what you wear, but please wear something. Here are some suggestions. We’ll be outside in Vermont in October, and temps can get chilly. There might be opportunities to swim and sauna, so please bring a swimsuit.

Friday: Sturdy shoes and a puffy jacket. Party shirt underneath. Swimsuit and towel if you want to sauna.

Saturday Day: We’ll have lots of activities, so dress accordingly.

Saturday ceremony/reception: Something fun or weird or festive, keeping in mind the weather. The tent will be heated if it is cold.

Please prioritize comfort for dancing as we will be on the dance floor all night. The dance floor might be grass, so heels are probably a silly idea.  We also encourage extra accessories for the dance floor: leather vests, sunglasses, glitter, visors, that sort of thing.

  • Clothes and shoes for all sorts of activities. Lawn games. Warm layers. Fur vest/glitter. Swimsuit and towel.

  • Menu is still being finalized, but you can definitely expect dinner on Friday, and dinner on Saturday. For folks staying at BBH, we are planning to coordinate group breakfasts & lunches. More details to come.

  • We plan to have veggie and gluten free options, and will ask about other dietary restrictions in a survey.

We encourage ample carb consumption so that you are adequately fueled for the dance floor. 90 grams of carbs per hour is recommended as optimal for most endurance events.

  • Give us a shout! We have lots of toys and camping equipment that we’d be happy to lend out. First come, first serve!

The Weekend: Activities & Vibes

  • Activities abound. There will be lots of structured activities (more details to come) but if that isn’t your thing, there are tons of trails to walk/run/bike. Feel free to bring bikes (gravel or mountain). Or just chill by the pond with a book!

If you’re staying in Brandon, we recommend checking out Morningside Bakery and Red Clover Brewing.

If you’re staying closer to Middlebury, we recommend the Middlebury Bagel Bakery and the Middlebury Coop right next door (great cheese). Mad Taco is great as well and there are lots of cute shops on Main Street.

  • Our wedding music will be a little different and a lot of grooving! We’re wicked psyched to share that Kaleta and the Super Yamba Band will be performing. They’re an afro-funk band who we somehow convinced to play at our wedding, in Goshen, VT of all places!

After their set, we imagine folks will be craving some Avicii, and we’ll head to an afterparty in the outdoor center :)

  • Obviously. No promises that they’re going to be heirloom items, but we play for keeps!

  • Britta: Yes, I can’t wait to make one for everyone!

Kevin: No, just show up and run hard.

  • We will get down. We hope you will too.

House Rules, Help & Heartfelt Stuff

  • You can reach us anytime via text or email. We aim to respond quickly—usually within one business day.

  • Please, no! We have too much stuff already, please don’t get us another object.

If you insist on a gift, we would love your help with small wedding tasks.  This wedding will be a community effort, with the talents and skills of our community reflected in the weekend.

Alternatively, we would love it if you could donate to one of the following orgs:

    1. Maine Needs

    2. Blueberry Hill Outdoor Center

    3. Vermont Immigration Legal Defense Fund

    4. Maine People’s Alliance

    5. HOPE Middlebury

  • If you want to come early to help cook/set up, we would love that.

This wedding will truly be a community effort, and we may be reaching out to folks to contribute their talents/expertise/labor in lieu of gifts. If you have a talent you think would be helpful, please reach out!

  • Please shoot us a text or send us an email at brittakev@gmail.com. We ask that you please refrain from reaching out to Shari who is running the day-to-day at Blueberry Hill :)

  • See above. If you insist on a gift that reproduces generational inequality, you can donate to our house fund (we’ll add a link, soon).

Keep checking back for more details as we get closer to October 3, 2026.
